Black Queens Head Coach, Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo has released her 22-woman squad list ahead of her side’s clash with the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the first round of the Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The squad list is not so different from the squad which partook in the Aisha Buhari Cup in September, 2021 except for the inclusion of Blessing Agbomadzi of Hapoel Be’er Sheva and Grace Anima of Police Ladies FC as well as the exclusion of Henrietta Annie of Police Ladies FC, Wasila Diwura Soale of LSU Soccer and Rashida Ibrahim of Berry Ladies FC.

The first leg of the qualifiers will be played on Wednesday October 20,2021 in Nigeria at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos with a return encounter in Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday October 24, 2021.

Despite having a chunk of local players and just four foreign players for the qualifiers, the queens are poised for action after undergoing intensive camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampam as well as a forensic camping period at the Accra City Hotel in Accra before leaving for Nigeria on Monday October 18, 2021.
